We Are In Court Because Nigerians Are Suffering- Gov. Yahaya Bello
Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello has given reason for dragging Federal government to the Supereme Court over the Naira redesign Policy of the central bank of Nigeria.
The governor who was at the Supereme Court, Abuja on Wednesday alongside the Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai is one of the All Progressive Congress governors who is challenging the decision of the CBN to initiate the policy at this time.
Speaking to journalists on behalf of his colleagues after the court session, Bello explained reason they went to court.
According to him, they decided to go to court because of the hardship Nigerians are going through over the new naira policy.
He said: “we are in court because Nigerians are suffering.”
Speaking further, the Kogi Governor who is also the National Youths Coordinator of the Tinubu presidential campaign council said Naira Swap Policy is good but it is coming at the wrong time.
He revealed that Nigerians are going through a tough time because of the policy and that is enough reason for the federal government to reverse the policy until after the election.
