Your Decision To Go To Court Is The Most Civilized Course Of Action- APC PCC Tells Peter Obi
The presidential campaign council of the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate has saluted the decision of Labour Party presidential candidate, Dr. Peter Obi for taking the step to go to court.
Peter Obi, while addressing a world Press conference on Thursday, decried the irregularities that marred the presidential election conducted last Saturday and vowed to challenge the outcome of the polls.
The APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared winner of the controversial election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He polled over eight million votes to defeat his closest rivals, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party who trailed him with over six million votes each.
Responding to Peter Obi’s decision to challenge the result in the court of law, the presidential campaign council of the APC described the move as the most decent, statementmanlike and civilized course of action to take.
This was revealed on twitter by the Director of Media and Publicity of the campaign council, Bayo Onanuga.
According to Onanuga, “Peter Obi’s decision to go to court is the most civilized course of action.”
He wrote: “Going to court is part of the electoral process and it is the most decent, statesmanlike and civilised course of action to take. We salute the decision. It is surely better than calling supporters to the streets and instigating social unrest.”
