He Pleased & Displeased Both Sides To Save His Head- Shehu Sani Reacts To Bishop Kukah’s Easter Message

The Easter message delivered by the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah on Sunday has been eliciting mixed reactions from Nigerians.

The popular Bishop during his sermon had criticized the election that brought up Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President-Elect.

Since the conduct of the presidential poll which was held on Saturday February 25 and announcement of the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate as winner, Nigerians have been rioting on social media in protesting against the emergence of the former governor of Lagos State.

Bishop Kukah’s Easter message on Sunday however appeared to further buttress the discordant voices in the society about the election and its outcome.

The man of God said Nigerians are frustrated with the outcome of the presidential election but called on the President-elect to secure the country.

Reacting to the statement, Shehu Sani who was the Senator that represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly said:

“He pleased and displeased both sides to save his head.”

He wrote: “Kukah said Nigerians are frustrated with the outcome of the election but called on the President elect to secure the country. He pleased & displeased both sides & saved his neck. The Lions & the Tigers will be roaring but confused whether to devour him or just pass & leave him.”
