Festus Keyamo Reacts To Buhari’s Salah Message, Mocks General Obasanjo

Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has reacted to the statement by President, Muhammadu Buhari that he cannot wait to go home.

Buhari, in his Salah message on Friday disclosed that he has accomplished what he wanted and he is looking forward to his return back home. He said he had been a governor, a minister, Military head of state and two term president. He revealed that there is no higher position he wants in public office that he has not attained.

According to him, the free, fair and credible election conducted in 2023 will be the greatest legacy he will bestowing on Nigerians. Once he leaves the office in May 29, he will be as far as possible from the Villa.

Reacting to the statement, the minister of State for Labour and Employment who also doubles as spokesperson for Tinubu presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo said it is different from the one who wanted to glue himself to the seat for a third term.

Keyamo, who made this known on his verified twitter handle was apparently referring to the former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

Obasanjo tried to drag his tenure to a third term but was aborted by the National Assembly in 2027.

He has since then remained the only president who attempted a third term in office.

Using Buhari’s statement to mock Obasanjo, Keyamo wrote:

“Very different from the one who put glue on his chair and wanted a third term.”
