Ex- Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani Prays For Ekweremadu, Wife That The Lord Will See Them Through 

Mixed reactions have continued to trail the prayer rendered by Senator Shehu Sani for the embattled former senate president, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice.

Ekweremadu was sentenced to nine years and eight months imprisonment on Friday while his wife, Beatrice was sent to four years and six months jail term for organ trafficking. Their Doctor, Obinna was given 10 years jail term by the court.

The couple had attempted to save their daughter, Sonia who is battling with kidney failure by arranging a young boy from Nigeria who would donate his kidney for transplanting.

On getting to the UK, the deal got bursted and the family was arrested, detained and tried. They were found guilty of organ trafficking by the Central Criminal Court, Old Bailey in United Kingdom.

Reacting to their sentencing, the former senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District prayed for the couple that God will see them through.

Shehu Sani said: “Ekweremadu and Beatrice, the Lord will see you through.

His comment has however generated mixed reactions from RovingNaija readers
