Lawyers Engage In Light Discussion As They Wait For  Commencement Of Presidential Tribunal 

The long awaited presidential Tribunal has officially resumed on Monday with different affected parties already making their way to the court.

The photo and video of activities going on at the court premises were posted on social media by Channels Television.

In the broadcast, the premises of the court was guarded by heavily armed security who are on ground to prevent individuals or group of people who have no business with the proceeding from having access to the venue.

Also, a bench of lawyers was seen engaging in a chitchat as they wait for the official commencement of the legal battle.

The Tribunal is sitting to look into the petition submitted by the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, Peter Obi against the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his All Progressive Congress and Independent National Electoral Commission, over the controversial February 25 presidential election.

Obi and Atiku are challenging the victory of Tinubu at the election and failure of INEC to conduct, collate and announce results according to its stated guidelines.
