The virtual inauguration of 2nd Niger Bridge by president Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled for today, Tuesday.
The bridge, which connects Asaba, in Delta State and Onitsha in Anambra State is expected to ease hectic traffic jam on the Asaba axis of the expressway leading to the South Eastern part of the country.
The ground breaking ceremony of the bridge was performed by former President Good luck Jonathan in March 2014.
Motorists and residents of the benefitting communities in Asaba and Onitsha are full of gratitude to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari for completing the multi billion naira bridge.
Apart from top government officials at the venue of the inauguration, paramount traditional rulers from Delta and Anambra states are in attendance, amidst heavy security presence.
Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, and the Minister of State for Science and Technology, have arrived the venue.
