Again, 17-Year Old Ondo Student Breaks Guinness World Record In Rope Skipping 

Guinness World Record has confirmed 17- year-old student of Oyemekun Grammar School Akure, Ondo State, Philip Solomon as Guinness World Record holder for most skips on one foot in 30 seconds.

On January 24, 2023, Solomon officially recorded 153 skips on one foot in 30 seconds to erase the former record of 145 skips in 30 seconds held by Rasel Islam of Bangladesh.

His record was officially confirmed by the Guinness World Record last Tuesday, four months after his attempt.

Speaking with newsmen in Akure , Solomon, who was elated at his achievement, appreciated all who supported him to achieve the feat.

Ondo State Rope Skipping coach, Chibuisi Ukandu noted that with the record, rope skipping had gained more recognition in the country and he appealed for support from stakeholders to consolidate on Solomon’s achievement.
