How Suspected Yoruba Nation Agitators Hijacked Radio Nigeria In Ibadan 

A group of Youths which identified itself as Yoruba Nation agitators in the early hours of Sunday reportedly hijacked one of Radio Nigeria Stations, Amuludun 99.1 FM, Moniya, Ibadan, Oyo state capital

The Youths numbering about twenty, stormed the premises of the Station at half past five in the morning wielding dangerous weapons and charms , scared the personnel on duty and forcefully took over live studio, broadcasting for an hour before the arrival of a joint team of security task force which restored normalcy and apprehended five of them.

In an interview, the General Manager of the station, Mr. Stephen Agbaje, explained that apart from the psychological impact on the staff, no life was lost and no staff on duty sustained injury ,

Mr Agbaje disclosed that the station had since resumed its normal broadcast operations.

RovingNaija gathered that the premises of the station had been placed under the watchful eye of a team of combined security operatives.
