Jigawa Engages Over One Thousand Graduates As School Teachers

As part of his promise to revitalise the education sector for improved teaching and learning in Jigawa State, Governor Umar Namadi has presented letters of engagement to over one thousand graduates to serve as school teachers in the State.

This is to bridge the deficit of teachers in government schools across the State and ensure quality education at the foundation level.

This is the first phase of the exercise, more recruitments the state government said are in the pipeline in the education and other service sectors.

This engagement termed “Jigawa Teach” (J-Teach) for short is providing these graduates with temporary employment before subsequent confirmation as permanent teachers.
