Update: NRM Demands Immediate Release Of Jackrich
The National Rescue Movement, NRM, has demanded the immediate release of its governorship candidate in the 2023 election in Rivers State, Amb. Sobomabo Jackrich.
You recall that RovingNaija News reported that Jackrich, popularly called Egberipapa, a former Niger Delta agitator, was forcefully taken from his residence in Usokun, Degema by men dressed in military uniform on Monday.
Though it was not clear which of the security agencies carried out the action, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command simply confirmed that Jackrich was arrested by another security agency.
However, Chairman of NRM in the state, Ibiyekaribo Peters, stated the party’s unwavering commitment to justice and equity, calling on key authorities, including Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and Director General of DSS, Yusuf Bichi, to intervene urgently and ensure the safe release of their leader, unharmed.
Meanwhile reports have it that Jackrich’s Family is currently holding a press briefing demanding for his release.
