I Feel A Great Relief That I Will Be Leaving The Govt. House Soon- Okezie Ikpeazu
Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed relief that he will be leaving the government house by May 29.
The governor, who will complete his two terms in office in two months, was a special guest on the Thursday edition of Channels TV Politics Today where he spoke extensively on his eight years tenure as governor of the state.
Ikpeazu, who is one of the five governors of the People’s Democratic Party populary known as G-5 failed, to install a successor from his party.
The state governorship election was won by the Labour Party candidate, Alex Otti.
Speaking on the challenges of running the state, Governor Ikpeazu revealed that he was constrained by non at availability of resources to deliver on most of the promises in his Manifesto.
Nevertheless, he noted that he has been able to meet most of his people’s expectations and he believes that the incoming administration will build on his legacies because government is a continuum.
According to him, he can’t wait for May 29 to handover and begin to exercise his freedom as a free citizen.
He said: “I feel a great relief that I will be leaving the government house soon.”
He made the disclosure while featuring on Channels TV Politics Today.
