Police PRO Speaks On Trending Video Of Officers Beating, Asking Man To Bring Out His Phone

A trending Video of police officers harrasing a civilian in Agege, Lagos has sparked controversies on social media.

The video posted by a twitter user with username, Ben Cash also caught the attention of the Force Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi who condemned the act and demanded for identities of the officers.

In the video, the officers were noticeably beating up a man and shoving him around the busy expressroad while the victim was busy asking the policemen the offence he committed to warrant such an inhuman treatment from them.

According to the narrator in the background, the officers were asking him to release his phone for them to check.

A user who commented on the video identified the officers, saying he knows them and they are from Abbatoir Police Station.

I sabi all these guys with their illegal movement, they move with korope mini bus.. their dpo knows about it @Princemoye1 @BenHundeyin @PoliceNG .. infact ehen that short police na muscle e dey drive,u can never see him wear uniform.”

Reacting to the post, Prince Olumuyiwa asked the poster to fish out the officers for investigation.

He said: “Ben, fish out these policemen for investigation. We need to look into this. And the victim to send an sms to me, personally as i need some info from his or them. I am interested in this disgusting scene/drama.  Thanks.”
