LP Guber Candidate In Lagos, Rhodes-Vivour Visits Oba Of Lagos With His Father
As part of efforts to make his election a done deal, the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour visited the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akinolu on Thursday.
The visit is part of his statewide consultation to get the necessary blessings and endorsement from those that matter across the state.
However, Gbadebo’s trip to the Lagos Island-based palace became more colourful and significant with the presence of his father. He was also accompanied by members of his campaign team.
He made this known on his verified twitter handle immediately after the visit.
He wrote: “I was accompanied by my father and team to visit and pay our respect to the Oba of Lagos, we indigenous Lagosians will always respect and revere our traditional rulers, and I look forward to working with them to build a better Lagos”
Until the visit, many Lagosians especially his followers believed he is not on the same page with the monarch who has on several occasions made known his support for the All Progressive Congress candidates in the state.
The visit of Rhodes-Vivour alongside his father has elicited reactions on social media.
