After Losing Election In Lagos, Funke Akindele Deletes Politics-related Posts From Her Instagram Page

Nollywood Actress and Deputy Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Funke Akindele has deleted all posts related to politics from her Instagram page.
On Monday, it was revealed that political posts that were visible on her page of 15.7 million followers have been deleted
The only posts that are noticed on the page according to Punch correspondent who visited the page on Monday are that of her movie promotion and other personal posts.
The reason for her action is yet to be known as many of her fans wonder if it was necessitated by the recent loss in the governorship election conducted on Saturday.
Akindele and her principal, Abdul-Azeez Adediran aka Jandor, were defeated by the incumbent governor and All Progressives Congress candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The film maker who boasts of over 15 million followers on Instagram was expected to turn her social contacts to political gain in the Lagos election.
But this did not seem to amount to anything. Her principal, Adediran came third in the election with barely 61,000 votes.
