Just In: Former Deputy Senate President, Ekweremadu, Wife Found Guilty Of Organ Trafficking In UK 

Former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, has been found guilty of organ trafficking by a United Kingdom court.

His wife Beatrice, and Obinna Obeta, a doctor involved in the case, were also found guilty. Their daughter Sonia, who is the would-be recipient of the transplant was acquitted of charges.

The jury found that they conspired to bring the victim to London to exploit him of his kidney.

According to the UK Guardian, it is the first verdict of its kind under the Modern Slavery Act.
