Peter Obi Reveals How He Would Have Won Rivers With Over 50% Vote If Wike Had Not Moved Against Him

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has confirmed that the govenernor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike was responsible for his loss in the state in the last presidential election.

Obi made the revelation while featuring as a guest on Monday edition of Arise TV Morning Show.

The former Anambra governor who disclosed that he did not have problem with the president-elect reaffirmed that the process that produced the winner was not transparent and credible.

He revealed that he got overwhelming votes from Obidients in Rivers State but the governor came against him which consequently led to his loss.

He disclosed that people of different ethnic extractions across the country voted for him during the February 25 presidential election.

“Some people said he got votes in Lagos because of Igbos. How many Igbos live in Lagos? I got more votes from indigenous people in Lagos than those you can call visitors. Is it Igbos who voted for me in Nasarawa, Plateau and Abuja? In Rivers where you know that the governor came out against me in everything. If the real votes in Rivers were counted, I won more than 50% in the State,” Obi said.
