The Kwara state police command says a group of gunmen have invaded a hotel, killed the 47 year old owner, Kayode Akinyemi and abducted his friend in Ganmo, Ifelodun local government area of the state.
A statement by the command’s spokesman, Okasanmi Ajayi said during the incident, the gunmen also injured the manager of the hotel, Emmanuel Ojo.
According to the statement the Command’s Tactical teams in conjunction with vigilante and hunters have been mobilized to the scene to comb the surrounding bushes for possible rescue of the victim and arrest of the hoodlums.
The statement noted that the corpse of the victim has been deposited at the general hospital mortuary for autopsy, while the injured person is receiving treatment.
It maintained that the command has put in place a stringent security measures to checkmate the activities of criminal elements in the state.
