NPFL: Trouble Looms At Plateau United
Just one game into the new NPFL season, the camp of former Nigeria League champions Plateau United appears to be in disarray.
The club in an unceremonious manner on Monday announced players will be placed on half salary due to their disappointing start to the season against Kwara United.
The Peace Boys lost 0-2 to their visitors on Sunday and that has not gone well with officials of Plateau United.
The club wrote: Plateau United Football Club has placed the entire team on half salary following their poor start to the NPFL after going down 2-nil to Kwara United in Jos. The General Manager of the Club, Pius Henwan gave the directive while addressing players and coaches of the team.
Expectedly, reactions have been pouring in on this and most fans have slammed the Plateau United hierarchy for this draconian decision.
